Overview

Rail Slingshot ("we", "us", or "the App") is a native mobile game published by Johan Andersson and distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Rail Slingshot does not use backend servers and does not offer user accounts. Your game progress and settings are stored only on your device unless you choose to share something through your device's built-in share feature.

No account or sign-in is required to play.

What Data We Store Locally

The following information is stored on your device only. The App does not send this data to us:

Game progress — High scores, Endless mode best survival time, current level, coins, unlocked vehicles, vehicle condition, upgrades, shop progress, daily login streak, play-time bonuses, and optional ad coin bonus counts.
App settings — Sound on/off, easier shooting mode, shooting demo card visibility, tutorial completion, and similar in-app preferences.
Ad frequency preferences — Local counters that limit how often full-screen ads may appear.

We do not offer cloud save, account sync, or backup of your game progress. If you uninstall the App or delete its data, your progress is lost.

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it using the Settings page, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.

Uninstalling the App normally removes locally stored game data from your device.

Share Score

If you choose to share your score, your device's native share sheet is used.

We do not receive or store the content you choose to share.

Advertising

Rail Slingshot uses Google AdMob to show ads in the native mobile App only.

Ads help support development of the game.

The App may show the following ad types:

Banner adsSmall ads displayed during active gameplay.
Rewarded video adsOptional ads that you may choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit. Rewarded ads are never required to play.
Interstitial adsFull-screen ads that may appear at suitable breaks in gameplay.

When ads are shown, Google and its advertising partners may collect or process information such as device identifiers, including the advertising ID on Android where permitted, ad interaction data, IP address, and approximate location.

This information may be used to provide, measure, limit, and personalize advertising where permitted by law.

On iOS, you may be asked to allow tracking for personalized advertising through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this choice later through your device settings.

In certain regions, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google may display a consent form before personalized ads are shown.

You can review or change available advertising privacy choices through Manage Ad Privacy Choices in the App's Settings page.

Your Choices

Rewarded ads are always optional. You choose whether to watch them.
You can manage available advertising consent and privacy choices in Settings.
You can delete all locally stored App data at any time using Delete All Data.
You can limit advertising tracking through your device's privacy settings.

What We Do Not Collect Directly

Rail Slingshot does not directly collect:

Your name, email address, or other contact information through the App.
Payment or financial information.
A user account, password, or sign-in credentials.
Cloud backups or online copies of your game progress.
Your precise GPS location.
Your contacts, photographs, camera content, microphone recordings, or messages.

The App does not contain in-app purchases.

If you voluntarily contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this information to respond to your support request.

Data Deletion

You can permanently delete locally stored App data at any time from the Settings page using Delete All Data.

This removes your game progress, settings, tutorial state, and ad frequency counters from your device.

This action cannot be undone.

Advertising consent choices managed by Google may need to be updated separately through Manage Ad Privacy Choices, Google Ad Settings, or your device settings.

Because Rail Slingshot does not use user accounts or developer-operated backend servers, we cannot remotely access, restore, or delete the game progress stored on your device.

International Users

Google and its advertising partners may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies and applicable data-protection laws.

We do not receive your locally stored game progress from Google AdMob.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App's data practices, advertising services, or applicable requirements change.

The Last updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request additional consent.

Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are between you and Johan Andersson ("we", "us", or "the developer") and apply to the mobile game Rail Slingshot ("the App"), available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The Game

Rail Slingshot is a free-to-play arcade game with campaign levels and an optional Endless mode.

The App includes shooting practice, vehicle upgrades, daily rewards, and local progress saving on your device.

The App does not connect to backend servers operated by us.

There are no in-app purchases.

The App is supported by advertising.

Game balance, levels, rewards, and features may change through future updates.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the App for private, non-commercial entertainment on a compatible device that you own or control.

This license is subject to these Terms and the applicable rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

The App is licensed, not sold.

Restrictions

Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not:

Copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App or its content.
Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Distribute an altered or unauthorized version of the App.
Remove copyright, ownership, or license notices.
Circumvent or interfere with advertising, rewards, security, or gameplay systems.
Use the App for an unlawful purpose.

These restrictions do not limit rights that cannot legally be restricted or rights granted under an applicable open-source license.

Your Responsibilities

You must use the App lawfully.

You must not deliberately exploit bugs, interfere with advertisements, manipulate rewards, damage the App, or interfere with its operation.

You are responsible for the security and configuration of your device.

You are responsible for maintaining any device-level backups you consider necessary.

Local Game Progress

Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device.

Progress may be lost if you uninstall the App, clear its storage, reset or replace your device, or useDelete All Data.

Rail Slingshot does not provide account-based cloud synchronization or remote recovery of game progress.

We cannot guarantee that locally stored progress will always be recoverable after device failure, operating-system changes, App updates, deletion, or other technical problems.

Advertising

Rail Slingshot displays advertisements provided through Google AdMob.

The App may display banner, rewarded, and interstitial advertisements.

Rewarded advertisements are optional.

Any in-game reward connected to a rewarded advertisement is provided only after the advertising system confirms that the relevant advertisement requirements were completed.

Advertisements and linked third-party services are controlled by the relevant advertising provider or advertiser.

We do not endorse every product, service, or statement displayed in an advertisement.

Virtual Game Content

Coins, scores, vehicles, upgrades, rewards, and other game elements exist only within the App.

They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

We may adjust game balance, rewards, levels, advertising frequency, and other game features through future updates.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its original code, graphics, audio, designs, interface, written material, and the Rail Slingshot name, is owned by Johan Andersson or used under an appropriate license.

The App and its content are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not give you ownership of the App or any part of its content.

Third-Party Software

The App includes third-party and open-source software, including software used for the App framework, user interface, native functionality, and advertising.

Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices.

Where an open-source license grants rights that differ from these Terms, the relevant open-source license controls for that component.

Updates and Availability

We may update, modify, replace, or remove features from the App.

We may also stop distributing or supporting the App in the future.

We do not guarantee that the App will remain compatible with every device, operating-system version, hardware configuration, or third-party service.

Rail Slingshot does not have user accounts or a system for remotely banning or suspending individual users.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, completely error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, consumer right, or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from or connected with your use of the App.

This may include loss of locally stored progress, virtual coins, scores, rewards, or settings caused by device failure, deletion, uninstallation, operating-system changes, App updates, or other technical issues.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Apple App Store and Google Play

If you download Rail Slingshot through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use of the relevant store and platform is also subject to the applicable terms and policies of Apple or Google.

Apple and Google's terms remain controlled and hosted by Apple and Google.

These Terms do not replace any mandatory platform or store terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms if the App, its services, or applicable requirements change.

The Last updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

Changes apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
